Table Service App

Table service tools for your floor team

Give staff a branded app to manage tables, take orders, send courses to the kitchen, and settle bills — on portable card terminals (PEDs) when guests prefer traditional payment, or alongside guest pay-by-QR when you enable it. Same menu engine as every other channel.

Full-service dining without a disconnected floor stack

Floor teams need one tool for the full dine-in loop — table status, ordering, bill presentation, and settlement. LineTen Table Service App keeps staff on a branded experience while orders route through your POS and kitchen. Payment stays flexible: portable card terminals for traditional settlement, or guest pay-by-QR when you choose to offer it.

Staff ordering and table management

Floor teams take orders, add courses, and manage table status from a branded staff app. Orders route through your POS and kitchen systems — without duplicate menus or manual re-entry at the till.

On-brand staff experience

Table service tooling should feel like your operation, not a generic POS screen. LineTen builds staff journeys that match your brand and service model, from order entry to bill presentation.

Split bills, service charges, and flexible payment

Run complex dine-in scenarios from the floor — split bills, service charge rules, and table identification. Settle on portable card terminals (PEDs) or let guests pay by QR when you enable Order & Pay on the same table.

Operations

Same menu engine as every other channel

Table service is not a separate product silo. Menu updates, LTOs, and sold-out items in MenuPro flow to tableside ordering immediately, so guests never see items the kitchen cannot make — and central teams do not maintain a duplicate dine-in menu.

  • Real-time menu and modifier sync from MenuPro
  • Order routing to kitchen via OrderPro and POS integrations
  • Configurable table mapping and service areas per site
  • Staff notifications for new orders and service requests

One floor view across tables and payment methods

Whether a guest pays on a portable terminal or scans to settle on their phone, supervisors see live table and payment status from one dashboard. LineTen keeps dine-in on the same platform as kiosk, web, and delivery — so operations and reporting stay unified without bolting on disconnected floor tools.

  • Live visibility of order and payment status across all tables
  • PED settlement without leaving the branded staff workflow
  • Optional guest pay-by-QR on the same table and menu engine
  • Unified reporting with kiosk, web, and delivery channels

Frequently asked questions

How is table service different from Order & Pay?

Order & Pay is the customer-facing capability — guests order and pay at the table on their own device, typically via a branded pay-by-QR web journey. Table Service App is the staff-facing tool your floor team uses to manage tables, take orders, run bills, and accept payment. Both can include pay-by-QR on the same table, but table service does not require it — staff can settle on portable card terminals (PEDs) when guests prefer traditional payment. Both run on the same menu and order engine.

Do guests need to download an app to order at the table?

No. Table Service App is a web app on staff devices — guests do not install anything. Staff take orders and manage tables from that app; guests order with your team at the table. If you also enable pay-by-QR, guests open a branded web experience in their mobile browser via Order & Pay — still no app store download.

Does table service require guests to pay by QR?

No. Staff can take payment on portable card terminals (PEDs) through the Table Service App. Pay-by-QR is optional — when you enable it, guests settle via Order & Pay on their own phone while staff retain full table visibility from the floor app.

Can the solution handle split bills and tips?

Yes. LineTen supports split-payment scenarios, service charges, and configurable gratuity options according to your brand policy and regional requirements. Specific rules are configured during implementation.

Does tableside ordering integrate with our POS?

Yes. Orders and payments route through LineTen's integration layer to your POS and payment providers. Kitchen tickets, table status, and reporting align with how your operation already works — without manual re-entry.

What results should we expect on table turnover?

Results vary by format and service model. Brands that combine staff table tools with optional guest pay-by-QR often see faster bill-to-clear during peak service. LineTen works with your operations team to define success metrics — including PED-only, QR-only, or mixed settlement — before rollout.
